USUSList.infoBusiness Directory

Add or correct a business listing

Every listing on USList.info comes from OpenStreetMap, a free, community-run map of the world. We don't keep our own copy you can edit, so additions and corrections are made there — and the moment they are, they improve every site and app built on that map, not just ours. Our pages pick up the change on the next refresh.

Two ways to do it

Leave a note. The quickest option and no account is needed. You drop a pin where the business is and describe what should change. A map volunteer reads it and makes the edit, usually within days.

Edit it yourself. Sign up for a free account and change the details directly. It goes live in minutes and shows up here at our next refresh.

What to include

  • The exact business name, as it appears on the sign.
  • The full street address, including the street number.
  • A phone number and website, if there is one.
  • What kind of business it is — bakery, dentist, hardware store.
  • Whether you're connected to the business. Volunteers appreciate knowing.

Correcting a business we show

Open the page the business appears on — browse to its state, city, and category — and use the Suggest a fix link under the list of results. Pick the business and we'll send you straight to that exact spot on the map with the details ready to paste. Start browsing.

Adding a missing business

Tell us roughly where it is and we'll open the map there, so you don't have to hunt for the right street.

A few things to know

  • We can't add, change, or remove listings for you, and our contact form isn't the place to ask — the map is the only record, and it isn't ours.
  • Notes and edits are public and are reviewed by map volunteers. Accurate, specific information gets accepted; advertising copy does not.
  • Only add businesses that really exist at a real address. Duplicate or promotional entries get removed by the map community.
  • Once a change is live on the map, it appears here at our next refresh, not instantly.
